If you really truly love each other there's no reason not to wait! You have a lifetime to be together so wait a little. Believe me you get older very quickly and waiting won't hurt a thing. Love lasts as long as you keep working at it but getting married too soon isn't so easy to undo. Divorces are expensive and traumatic so wait and be absolutely sure. Getting married at 16 is legal in some states but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. Very few people who get married that young stay married because growing up changes people. At 16 you have a lot more maturing to do before you're 18 or 20, Even getting married at 20 you can change a lot before you're 25!

Hey, hang on a second. Just think about this:
1. Are you really ready for marriage? You're 15. Regardless of how mature you are, are you ready to commit your life to someone?

2. If you do it behind your parents back/without their permission, I'd say they'd be very hurt; remember you're still a minor, and although you may have great feelings towards your boyfriend, think of your parents, they love you; they deserve a bit more than that IMO.

3. If you're so sure that you're going to marry him and spend the rest of your life with him, why can't you wait till you can legally do it without your parents consent?

And finally..
In the United States, all but two states require a couple be age 18 in order to marry without parental consent. Nebraska sets the age at 19 and Mississippi at 21 at the time of this writing (May 2003). A few states will waive this requirement if there is a pregnancy involved, but the couple may still have to have court approval.

No is the simple answer. You are legally a minor, which means that you need your parents permission to get a marriage licence. Depending where you live, you may not be able to get married even with their permission until you're older. More importantly for you, you're extremely young to be making a permanent commitment like this. You haven't lived enough or experienced enough to know what you want and you will surely regret making this commitment later on in life. And that may happen much sooner than you think. Think twice before you decide to do this and then think again!!!

No it is not. I don't want to sound like an old lady lecturing you but you really are way too young to be thinking about marriage. If you guys truly love one another and it's meant to be then this will happen in due time. There is so much out there that you both have yet to discover. You haven't even learned about who you are and what you want in life (there's no way you can do that by 15). Take it slow sweetie, you've got plenty of time.

No.
Please reconsider.
If you both really love each other, you will stay living with your parents and dating while you both finish school and college.

You may think you are ready and know all that is involved, but trust me, in 25 years you will realize how young and immature you really are as far as life experiences.

Take the time to enjoy being young and live life, and concentrate on a good education. You will never regret the decisioin to do so.

it's DUMB and you really need to wait untill you are older. People mature a whole lot from 15 till 25. You will be giving up your whole life to play house i can tell you with 100% TRUTH someday you'll deeply regreat never getting to date and hang out and have a real life. being suzy homemaker tied down with a husband and kids at 15 should have ended 100 or more years ago. i married my hubby at 29 he's 34 we were still not sure if we were totally ready.

Nope. You need to be 18 in order to be married. In this case he can be charged with child abuse, sexual misconduct with a minor or rape because you are still under age. Have a relationship, but leave the marriage for when you are more mature, older and more responsible. For now concentrate on finishing high school and better yourself with higher education leading to a good career and financial stability.

SLOW DOWN!!! You are too young. Why do you want to get married so soon. You and your boyfriend still have a lot of living to do. Have some patience, if it is meant to be,then after you guys have finished school (because marriage in poverty is NO fun) and you both have matured, that's when you maybe need to start thinking about marriage.

In the USA? None. If you are under 18 you need parental consent.

There are a few states that have exceptions due to pregnancy, or deceased parents and no appointed guardian but even with those exceptions you need court approval and (in the case of pregnancy) a doctor's note.

Around the world: In general it is 18 w/o parental consent.

True love doesn't have to run to the alter. What's the deal with ditching your parents consent? They want you to finish High School first don't they. Those jerks?!! Wanting the best for their daughter, the next thing you know they will try to pay for a college education. Obviously I'm being facetious.
These parents must really love you, look at all the options you have, please. before you make such a drastic decision.
