The ever increasing Godless teachings, all around us, in family, culture, and society!! Hopelessness, doubt and unbelief. For satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come to give life, and life more abundantly! Choose this day whom you will serve, life and blessing, or death and cursing. It's our choice!!

That statistic is bull****. Suicide rates don't fluctuate that much ... unless it's within a very limited population. For example, it could be that in City X, 100 teens committed suicide last year and 118 this year. But that would hardly seem worth a special new explanation. There's no way that the rate would change that much nationwide. Also, the only age group that commits suicide at a lower rate than teens is ... pre-teen children. It's a myth that teens commit suicide at particularly high rates. (Although it is particularly sad when it happens.)

i think the most reasons teens suicide rates go up, is cus someone in there family earlyer or in the past commited sucide. Most teens if they have a family member die, commite suicide, they will come at a higher risk of suicide. Also another reason is maybe at school if they get in trouble there parents dont care, and they feel like there parents dont love them, they are at a risk of suicide. Also if at school people are being racist, callin names, touching the teens, or threating teens, and nobody helps they feel hurt, deppressed, and they feel like if they weren't around anymore they wouldnt have to feel they pain, and nobody cares. The way i know most of these things is that i have attempted suicide, but my dad helped me. He's a suicide counsler. so that really helped me. ( I really hope i answered your question the way u needed it to be answered to understand. )

i'm a super fan of hugging between any age group. that's a super thank you to instruct closeness and affection, and that i think of an outstanding sort of folk are not getting adequate of that those days. I frankly think of all this "anti-hugging paranoia is ridiculous. i be attentive to a girl who grew to become into suspended, along with her boyfriend, simply by fact he gave her a hug to cheer her up while she grew to become into having an undesirable day in college. i will sort of see the place the college officers are coming from with this--you do not choose childrens spending 20 minutes making out interior the corridor--yet it is of course not how this rule is being enforced in colleges the place hugging is banned. I say you are able to ban kissing and irrelevant touching, particular--yet hassle-free hugging? That only creates a needlessly chilly and antagonistic atmosphere for young ones in college.

Have you considered the number of teens dealing with poverty and displacement following Hurricane Katrina...it seemed like these would be temporary problems, but many haven't recovered from the devastation and are now dispersed throughout the country.

it is true that this generation lacks discipline and that is a crippling characteristic once reality sets in. I think also a big part of what's making people depressed is popular culture. Celebrities being unattainably attractive, all the sad songs they play on the radio, etc.

I think alot of it comes from peer pressure. Teens feeling like they just don't add up for others. Self esteem is extremly hard to hold on to in this day and time. People have a habit of knocking you down instead of building you up. Unfortunatly our world is changing.

From my experience, I'd say that too much attention to appearance is a big one which can lead to self-concsiousness and irrational fears which in turn can cause people to isolate from it all and begin to feel depressed or anxious which of course could lead to suicide

people and teenagers in general are now living life full on than they ust to be. teenagers face today high costs and stress and its normal for a teenager to have two to three jobs now when I was growing up. when I was young things in general were cheaper and you had one job. and you had money to fall back on. it seems we are living in expensive times. reality shows are also the blame for sending wrong messages to teenagers that it is okay to be bad than good. cartoons like futuraama and the Simpson's tend and once gain reality shows .police drama are more intensified which intensifies modern living and has a detrimental affect on teenagers and young children as they grow older. catch phrase Bring it on intensifies stress an mood dysfunction. all of these problems have many influences on our young. anti-socail behavior in movies and TV shows are intensifies human needs and behavior and its accepted more and more. the music industry some stars wear smut oufits and for young children is very detrimental in how they behave. the entertainment industry has a lot to ask for in how it dictates to our level of society radio included. in how we are influence ed and brainwashed all of these factors have an incredible amount of stress..the threat of terrorism is also affects in how we live and there seems to more pressure in life now than they ust to be and its very hard to cope. and teenagers and younger children are victims in all this. and feel the most vulnrable.
majority of the time we tend to follow trends too much and follow more rules than we ust to. there is no quality of living now than they ust to be. we all need to slow down and smell the roses and finmd ways to cope to benefit our younger generation. it seems greed is good and money is power. what we have to do is start to break some walls and try and turn it around
