Sounds like you need to adjust the screen resolution, this can be changed by right clicking on your desktop> choosing properties> then settings> then moving the slider under the "Screen Resolution" setting> then clicking apply

If only the sides have black "bars" and not the bottom as well, I think you might be in the market for a new screen. If setting your screen resolution doesn't work, then you might want to try turning off anything electrical that is near the laptop, as something may be causing interference. If all fails, hopefully your laptop is still under warranty.

In the far upper right corner near the big RED X there are two little boxes, Click on the one closest to the X that looks like a box .........that should instantly enlarge the picture. The one to the left of the box that looks like this _ will reduce the picture. Hope you understand what I told you. Good luck/!!!

has it been move around alot or damaged , any hard knocks? It could be anything from the screen has failed to loose harness wiring, lets hope it the latter, you can try adjusting resolution and screen settings. All the connections go through the hinges?

1 -
modify the resolution from the display settings .
or
2- MOdify your screen refresh rate from settings ---> monitor
or
3- Adjust your Display settings from the Buttons that exist in your Screen body .......
4- uninstall & then reinstall your display driver ...

Right click on desktop --> properties. Go to the rightmost tab, and choose a different resolution with the thing you can slide untill you find one that you like.

right click on a emty space on the desk top, a window will open up. choose the settings tab. below is where you make the size you want..

I don't know but someone probably messed with it.
I turned on my computer and my cursor was 10 times its normal size...My kids were cracking up....
