do you mean 'accepting'? If so, I would say London is pretty accepting of people who are homosexual - not sure about Texas though. London is a very socially-advanced city.

I would just like to add that Sydney, Australia is probably the most gay-friendly city on earth - we do have the yearly Mardi Gras after all!! I know heaps of gay people here who are very happy that they can be themselves without fear of persecution.

I thought all the guys in London were gay anyways, so you'll probably fit right in. Snazzy dressers, great music, great bars, constant smoking of the fags....sounds good to me....but Iraq sounds better to me than Waco, TX. I'm originally from TX (thank god not from Waco) and I wouldnt even wish that place on my worst enemy. I dont think it is necessary to move all the way to the UK though....you dont see me shoving potatoes down my pie hole and moving to Ireland. There are plenty of great cities here in the states that you could move too....but just keep in mind that everywhere you go you will be harassed by some moron regardless of where it is. I remember walking in the Castro District with a group of friends and getting yelled at because you could essentially light cigarettes off of one of my friends. Concealed weapons are allowed in TX....perhaps you should get a hold of one until you gets the hell out of Waco though. Oh and watch out for Janet Reno....that chick is all about lighting things up in Waco.

Any large city will have a gay population with its own community. Houston, even if in Texas, has a nice scene. i lived there for a year. London seems as if it would be quite a bit more tolerant as a whole than Waco.....Baylor doesn't help any, now does it?

London is pretty tolerant of gay people.

There are lots of gay bars and clubs and London has at least two 'gay districts' (Vauxhall and of course Soho).

In the West End (centre of London) you could probably hold your boyfriends and be safe. Public displays of affection aren't common for heterosexuals or homosexuals in London so that's something I would avoid.

I've never been threated or had any problems. I'm at school and everyone knows I'm gay with no problems.

Europe is the gayest continent in the world and London is possibly the gayest city in Europe so you can't be doing too badly if you're gay in London. (^_-)

Texas isn't ALL backwards but Waco is, try Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, San Marcus, Austin, Corpus

and stop complaining.

Move to Dallas and check out the Oaklawn/Cedar Springs area. I think you will fit right in!
