Let's see. I just gave my description to someone very special a few months ago. Here it is:
It's when you want happiness for that person, when you are willing to sacrifice for it, but you have to know that the other person feels the same. It's when you know in your gut, that you can put their needs above your wants. It's when you can look into each other's eyes and feel complete contentment. It's when it's comfortable, when there is no question of honesty or faithfulness. It's when just knowing them has made your life better. It is knowing that they would never ask you to sacrifice your morals, health, safety, etc for their gain. It's when your heart smiles without even trying.

The universal love. It has no boundaries. You don't have to sacrifice anything, because it doesn't expect anything and vice versa. I would have to say there's only been a few people on this planet who really demonstrate the purest true love: Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa etc. True, pure love is all over you, you just have to open your eyes to it.

Love...is when you know that you could live without someone, but you find you don't want to. Love is when you look at someone and feel nothing in the world could go wrong. Love is feeling safe, wanted, happy, and fufilled.

But, Alas...Love isnt everything in a relationship. I wish it was.

If you question it then it is obvious that you are not experiencing it. You will know when it hits you.
