I say we do the opposite. Pull our troops and bases out of Europe and listen to them cry about how it is devastating their economy.

If they are going to whine about our actions at least not pay them for the privilege. Europe hasn't had to have an army since WW2 because we helped them out. Now we should pick our allies and let them make the millions associated with a US base.

Population of the EU - 500million

No. of US military personnel - less than 50,000

Your telling me these soldiers are richer than the EU combines? I dont think so, considering many EU armies get paid more than yours anyway.

EU GDP - $15,000,000,000,000 ( £7.5trillion )
USA GDP - $12,000,000,000,000 ( £6trillion )

Seems to me the EU is a lot richer than you, so much richer actually if you added africa to your GDP we would still be richer.

UK GDP $3.5trillion ( £1.75trillion ) Your not even that rich compared to us so dont get ahead of yourselves. You also have a $7trillion debt I believe.

I seriously doubt the EU needs the US to protect it any more. Your only there because of WW2 treaties and the fact its cheaper.

I hope you don't consider this even remotely a serious prospect.

What would you be saving Europe from and which hostile nations would you be invading?

Excuse my ignorance, but don't we have many British soldiers who were POW in Japan? And served in Korea? And forgive me for daring to raise this point, but who started this war on terror?
Our boys are dying for you, right now. Don't be so disrespectful.

I wouldn't spend a dime or lift a finger, they want it, they can't get it together enough to see what's coming, I say let them have it. They've been beating us over the head for decades and calling us everything under the sun, so I say "you want it, you got it"

Nah. We're too busy spending it to give Cheney a chance to play war since he was too chickensh*t to go himself when his country called.
