By E.V.Ps, I mean 'electronic voice phenomenon'. I have done some research on the Internet about them. Every website that I've been to tells you how to record them, but not how to tell their authenticity.

I've listened to several that are available on the Internet, and I am not certain if they are voices of the dead.

What do you think about them? Are they real?

They're a crock.

When you were a kid, were you afraid of the dark?

Did you ever look out into the room, and see things you were convinced were moving or were a sinister shape, only to learn upon turning on the light that you were scared of the shadows on your dresser?

EVP is interesting only from a psychological perspective. People WANT it to be true, so they start hearing things.

It's not real.

I don't know, but I'll tell you this, and you can draw your own conclusions.
First, I play the guitar and have both electric and acoustic instruments as well as an amplifier and headphones etc.. I'm sure you get the picture. Anyway, once in a while, more like several times a week, depending on how much "play time" I get in, I'll hear what sounds like distant voices, either through the headphones or amplifier. It's almost impossible to understand what "they're saying", but you (I) can definitely tell that they are saying something and it IS coming through the electrical equipment. It's kinda "trippy". And, no, I don't smoke dope. (anymore)
Also, my wife and I had our first child last year and when he was a couple months old, he started "looking" at "nothing" but, it was like, he was definitely seeing "something". He would fix on a certain spot and just stare at it. Then he would smile and "talk" (baby talk) and laugh. It was like he was seeing and talking to "real" people. He would hardly even talk or look at me or my wife the same way he would look at "nothing". He was "interacting" with things that my wife and I could not see or hear. So, I most definitely think that there is something to E.V.P.'s and also believe that children, especially infants are more in tune with either the "other side" or some sort of "parallel existence". I believe that as we grow older, we lose the abilities that we are given at birth, that "sixth sense" type of thing that allows children to see and hear things that adults can't. As far as sounds and voices coming through electronics... I can only believe what I hear; and I absolutely have heard those "voices" and they are NOT in my head. Hope that answers your question, and as far as the skeptics are concerned... F*** em.

I do believe in EVPs. I think it's an entities way of contacting with us, I also believe that not every "EVP" out there is real. There are some people that believe that making things up to seem real is cool. It's a step back in the ongoing hunt for paranormal activity. There is no real way to tell what is real and what is faked, unless of course you where there while the EVP was recorded.

chances are, you have "heard" them, and you have not even realized it.. have you ever been lying in bed and "thought" you heard muted voices, not quite loud enough or distinguishable enough to hear exactly what they are saying, but you "know" there is a group of people that you are listening to, and they appear to be having a conversation? this is a form of evp.... it is coming from spirit communication over the electronic devices in your home, they do not have to be turned on, and they do not have to be on the same wavelength, which means that you could have the television turned completely off, and they could be coming from there, or the computer could be turned on and you could be listening to your favorite music from it, and there could be "voices" and other happening in another room... it is all inter-related... yet can be on a very different frequency....because the dimension is so adverse.....

I do not believe they are real. The human mind has a great capacity to search for patterns in everything. It wants to find patterns so badly that it will often fill in pieces to make you think a pattern exists. Random static may at times sound as though someone or thing is speaking, but that is only because the mind wants their to be order in the chaos. But any perceived order is coincidental and is not actual.

More supernatural BS.

I got all interested after that movie White Noise came out. did a bunch of research myself - and the conclusion I came to was that it was all craptastic tales... Most of it you cant even make out. It "kinda" sounds like...(insert phraze).
