Hi

My road test is tomorrow...I failed it once and it was the worst thing ever when that happened and I don't want it to happen again. But my parents are extremely busy and I haven't driven in ages. My mom is going to help me before the test tomorrow but I'm still scared I'll get nervous and mess something up.

Mostly about paralell parking...

One of the most important things in driving that is never mentioned is knowing the dimensions of your car...usually learned best while parallel parking. Get out and take a look at your car...a good look. Square or round bumpers? How far away is the front of the car from you in the driver's seat? The back? How much dos the hood slope down? (makes it look shorter). If you can, try and tape something like a long, thin tube from the corners of the car and see where they lie in your eyes (don't drive like this, just get your bearings). You'll also notice this concept the most in regular parking lots, like when someone backs up and goes forward a million times when they're getting out of a spot because they think there's not enough room, but you can see that there is when you're watching them....do you know what I mean? If they had known the dimensions of their car better, they'd have known that there was 4 more inches to make the turn.

Remember not to cut too hard when you're backing in and if you get more comfortable with your dimensions, you'll start seeing that even though you may LOOK close to the other car, you'll have another inch or so.

Finally, one of my most important pieces of advice to you while driving is to be aware. Not a nervous wreck that freaks out at every movement another car makes, but anticipate what someone will do. Anticipate that jerk driver cutting you off. Be ready if it looks like someone is not paying attention up ahead, and may turn out in front of you. You may become very comfortable with how you drive, but there are hundreds of other people around you who may be awful drivers, and you need to be ready for them to do something stupid.

Don't worry too much about it though. It's not the end of the world if you fail, and in all honesty (while failing will suck in your mind) it's better that you didn't pass than passes because an instructor was lazy (there are enough bad drivers out here!!)

You'll do fine.

In CA, the attempt is rather hassle-free. Ucontinual as much as the station and the instructor will tell u 2 turn on the lights fixtures, sign, and horn. they are going to have u element to the defrostor, emergency lights fixtures, and emergency brake. they are going to make u sign a sprint bit paper and then off u flow on the line attempt. reckoning on the course, it may the two be an difficulty-free highway attempt, or u might have 2 flow on the limited-get entry to highway. At sixteen yrs. previous, I took the line examination. They rather made mecontinual around the streets, sorting out my know-how in braking, looking in the back of my shoulder while signaling, and changing lanes. additionally they made me pull over and lower back up in a immediately line. i did not have 2 do parallel parking, even nevertheless it would desire to be advantageous 2 prepare it besides. it is approximately it! don't be frightened- play it cool and remember 2 use hassle-free undemanding sense. word of ur atmosphere and persist with the site visitors alerts. solid advantages!

its probably already over, but the road test is way easy. you just need not to freak out. my tester person actually helped me with paralell parking, i just forgot a signal and head check but still passed. they know paralell parkings a b*tch, and if you just do your best (or give them a pitiful look) then thell understand. unless you hit the cones. if you dont know how, then ask someone who does. you never use it, and i just drive around until i find somewhere i dont have to do it.
no worries - im sure youll do fine, just chill.

If you fail so what. You will get your license a little later. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Do your best and see what happens.
