I guess we don't. I'm just reading the article on Yahoo's home page; this isn't going to look good for Bush. He's finally had to delve into Medicare. There's going to be a lot of unhappy seniors.

Hopefully, it won't pass the Congress. The Democrats want more money for healthcare, so I think the President is going to come under fire for this decision.

Right time to stop with all the liberal/conservative dem/rep baloney and get focused!!! Its called a budget and with the dollar at a 14 yr low vs the british sterling its time to get a reality check. Bush cant have more than 240B in deficit the chinese and world wont lend him anymore. Time to pay the bills.

I keep saying it; Bush doesn't care about America. He cares about the war. He cares about corrupt gains for the oil companies and for the military industrial complex. The war is about money for private interests, and very little benefit will ever be transfered to the American people. And none whatever when you consider that the American people are funding this exercise in corruption. What they've paid for this will never be returned to them, and the damage it's done at home and abroad, will be ignored by this government. They simply don't care.

Sounds about right for Dubyah.
Take what little help the poor and elderly get from the federal government so that you can continue to pour money into that black hole known as Iraq.
Thank God the American public decided in Nov. that enough is enough.

He always does cut medical for the elderly. The ones that cant get out and work, but let people sit on welfare that could be out working makes no sense to me

The elderly dont ask for free services. Its called medicare , they worked all of their lives for the 80% that medicare covers.

Some dont understand........ Medicaid is welfare..... they pay nothing for it and it covers everything

Medicare is what the seniors and disabled paid into every paycheck, Then they waited 2 years to get their benefits........... DONT CUT FROM THE SENIORS that's cant work, make the ones on medicaid pay 20 %

His mother has plenty of medical insurance, why would he have to spend any more money on medical care for the elderly?
