The first day of your period is day 1 of your cycle.

Here's how you figure out when you ovulate: (you can do web searches to get more information)

1. Basal Body Temperature Charting (BBT Charting): This is when you take your temperature every morning (before you roll over, have sex, or stand up) and chart your temps. There will be a sudden dip and then a sudden spike in your temperature--this is when you ovulate.

2. Cervical Mucous: You get a really slippery discharge when you're ovulating. (Looks like egg whites.)

3. Ovulation Predictor Kits: You can buy kits that tell you when your hormones surge (and, therefore, when you ovulate). These can get expensive, so make sure you know a little about when you ovulate before you use these.

If you feel certain that you know when you're ovulating and still don't get pregnant, a doctor can run tests to make sure you're ovulating.

Good luck!

You start counting from the first day of your period to the very next first day of your period. That is how many days are in your cycle. Try searching for ovulation calculators online. They will help you understand how long your cycle is and when you are most fertile. Good luck, but if you don't find yourself pregnant after you've tried for over a year and a month then I would go see a fertility doctor.

Day 1 is the first day of your period. Women typically ovulate 14 days before their next period so if you have a 28 day cycle it would day 14, and if you have a 31 day cycle it would be day 17. The egg is good for about 24 hours, and since sperm can live up to 5 days that gives you about 7 days of each cycle that you are really fertile.

in case you in basic terms have a 6 day era between ovulation and your next era it is going to likely be very difficult if not impossible to get pregnant. you decide on a minimum of 9 days between the two. Sorry to be so unfavourable :( you will possibly desire to talk to your dr approximately lengthening that element. or consistent with probability your ovulation day is off some days. if so i could attempt on day 30 interior the am. solid success.

between those dates you have 30/32 cycle days. you count it from the first day you get your period until the next period. My cycle days are different from month to month and never exact. Hope this helps. And try to have sex from cyle day 10-20 or until your next period come. You don't have to do it everyday, may be every other day. Good luck and baby dust to you and me (we are ttc also).

Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating plus it keeps track of your periods and more for free. You count from the first day of your last period to determine the length of your cycle.
