If you are trying to remote desktop into another computer, here are three steps on what to do on the remote end:
1. Make sure that port 3389 is open and not being blocked by a firewall.
2. Enable port forwarding on the remote end and point it to the destination computer.
3. Make sure that remote desktop is enable on remote machine.

don't do that. Don't use Remote Desktop Connection it can harm to your computer. Because i try to use Remote Connection its slow down my computer.

make the file, then email it to someone "you trust"
you can also put a certain time it is good for.
You will also have to tell your PC to allow remote connections.
Its slow as sin.
