Isn't it depressing when you realize how many 13 and 14 year olds are already non-virgins and sleeping with people as old as 16-20? I mean, I live in the number one town in America, I can't even imagine what's happening in less fortunate areas! I'm still a virgin, but a few of my friends have admitted sleeping with their older boyfriends. Isn't it sad? Don't teens have morals anymore? I get kind of dissapointed because I believe in waiting until marriage, and if not that at least waiting until you're 17. Why is this happening? I mean, so many teens give away their viginity like they're giving away kisses. I've also noticed this on TV. Everyone is sleeping around at 16! Can you image what it will be like in 20 years?

There are some who start having sex a lot younger than that. I don't know if they started out being abused. (I had a neighbor whose dad started in on her at 10 years old!) or if they are feeling ready or what, I don't know.

"Everyone" notices that girls are 'developing' at younger ages, it seems. 30 - 40 years ago it wasn't unusual for a girl to be 'flat' at 14, now they are needing bras at 12 sometimes. There are a lot of hormones in our food supply that weren't there 30 - 40 years ago. As far as morals, they went away with movies and TV. If it looks fun or exciting, you have to have instant.gratification or your wants, or it isn't fun.Don't worry about the consequences - you can always press reset - OOPS! It doesn't work in real life. Oh well, there are always government programs for the single mother.

It's really sad but not everyone is doing it. That's just an excuse.

My sons are virgins. My daughter was 21 when she got married and a virgin. My husband and I were virgins and we have been married 28 years! Waiting is the right way.

When these young kids have sex they should be expecting to get pregnant every time. It only takes once.

I agree with you 100%. I guess I was one of the smart ones. I never had sex until I got married at the age of 28. It is very sad. I think not only does it have to do with peer pressure. But, look at the parents. Parents are getting divorced and sleeping around too. That must stop too. Sex is a wonderful and loving act that should only be done between two MARRIED ADULTS ONLY! Sex is for the marriage bed only. There is no need for it other wise! I am going to be teaching my boys that sex is for married adults only.

I lost my virginity at 15, and from that second on, I knew that it was the greatest mistake in my life. I believe in waiting until you're married, but I loved the guy and I thought he loved me. I was pressured into it. I regret it with all that I have.
It IS sad that our worl is like this. Something needs to change, and it may be the kids, or even their parents by keeping a closer watch.

Morally, I have a huge problem with it, being fourteen. However, I also feel that my friends and peers have the right to do what they want to do with their bodies. It may have disgusted me when there was a seventh grader pregnant in my school system, but there's nothing I can do about it. If they want to whore themselves out, it's their choice.

However, we're reading Romeo and Juliet. Juliet was thirteen. Juliet, I believe, had sex with Romeo and was married to him. That was common in times such as the Elizabethan era. In some Middle Eastern countries today, you can have sex as early as nine years, providing you are married. Fourteen years pales in comparison to that.

Well that is a choice these girls make. They have no one to blame but themselves if they catch an STD, or get pregnant! I admit to being one of those rebellious teens, and I paid the price by getting pregnant at 18, I still wasn't ready. Then I got pregnant at 19 and gave birth at 20. SHOULDN'T I HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON ALREADY?? LOL Seriously I regret some decisions I made in my teen years! ATLEAST YOU HAVE BRAINS ENOUGH TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TO IT'S FULLEST!!!! I GIVE YOU LOTS OF PROPS!! KEEP ON LIVING LIFE THE WAY YOU ARE!

Sex should come after marriage. I think the main reason we are so sinful as a nation is because we have lost faith in God. We as a nation have allowed ourselves to not care about our sins. We need to turn back to our Christian roots and admit our faults. Jesus can blot out every sin, he can save the children having children, he can save anyone who will accept him. People hear the name Jesus and they've been taught by society to think that the name Jesus means hypocrite, just a good man, or even evil. Jesus is the only source of true peace in this world and the next, and if we don't turn to him soon, we as a nation are going to crash and burn morally and ethically.

Im so happy to see that you realize that! It is sooo sad. Waiting until marriage is such a beautiful thing- you should definitely strive for it! As for the rest of the troubled American youth, we can only pray for them and hope they dont have lots of babies that grow up just like them! :)

I agree with you, 100%! I am only 22 yrs old but, still. I lost my virginity at 16 but, I really wish I would have waited. My husband was my 2nd but, still.. I don't know how these kids do it. My mom wouldn't let ALONE with a boy at 13/14. I wasn't even allowed to go out with my friends, alone. LoL and I thank her for that. Not saying I would have been a slut or anything but, you know. Wow.. It's amazing how many people aren't saving their selves anymore for the 'right' person. I thought my first person was the 'right' one and yeah.. that didn't happen. I ended up ending it with him. lol. I don't know. Girls and Boys are crazy now adays. lol.. I don't even want to know what it will be like in 20 years. I am pregnant with my first son and I don't want him growing up in this world. You know?
