Did Tom Jones REALLY pass out after hitting that ridiculously long high note at the end of the title track of the Bond film?
(winner gets a pair of virtual knickers thrown at them for authenticity. . . )

Well he sort of did. What actually happened was that during the recording a small Martian from the planet of note-a-lot, crawled in to his mouth and set up his mini Martian orchestra inside Mr. Jones belly. The unfortunate coincidence was that he was actually recording the title track for the new Bond flick. Anyway as he began recording unbeknownst to him the small Martian band was setting up and rehearsing their new soon to be Martian hit "love on a blue moon". Now as the band was gearing up for the earth shattering crescendo, one of the kettle drum players drum stick heads shot off the top of his stick with such force that it bounced all the way down Mr. Jones body to his nether regions promptly smacking him on the nads right in the middle of that amazingly long BAAALLLLLLLLLLL bit. Thus making him pass out. Little else was known about the rest of this story as he was carted off immediately to Area 51 where they removed the wee Martian orchestra. Mr Jones went on to a prominent career while the Martians where dissected and probed and ended up being blended in to American Cream Soda. The Martian recording of “Love on a Blue Moon" was never released as it is said that Michael Jackson bought the rights and is saving the song for the title track of his come back album.

The End

Thunderball" was sung by Tom Jones who, according to Bond production legend, fainted in the recording booth when singing the song's final, high note. Jones said of the final note, "I closed my eyes and I held the note for so long when I opened my eyes the room was spinning." [1]
