I'm using Paint.NET to make a desktop for my computer. The dimesions of the finished picture need to be 12"x8.75". I need to convert those measurents into pixels. The only problem is, I don't know how to find my DPI. If anyone knows the formula/program used to find DPI and could tell me--thanks!!!

I'm looking for the DPI of my entire screen, so that I can edit it and then put it through an inch-to-pixel calculator.

Right click somewhere on your desktop. Left click on "Properties". Left click on "Settings" tab. Left click on "Advanced" button. On "General" tab read "DPI setting".

Don't worry about dpi. You can just find out the size of your screen in pixels. Assuming you have Windows: right click on your desktop, select properties, and click the Settings tab. You should see a control there with your screen size in pixels.

I don't know paint.net, but from what I know from other, better programs, you usually find it under Image Size. It may be called Resolution, but it's the same thing.

If it's a web graphic, it'll probably 72dpi...but maybe 84,100, or 150 if it's not.
