Every valentines day I hope some guy will ask me out or at least give me a card, it never happens, then this year I was about to ask a guy out and right before I said it he said "I just asked this girl out (from the next town over) and she said yes!" so I either get shut down, stuck with losers, or ignored, I don't understand why, so every year I am stuck on my couch alone, I just want someone to love me for me. So, my question for you, should I hope that this year will be different or give up hope? No one likes me, not even my "friends"

Don't be sad...people will ♥ you I guarentee it! You should definitely hope for things to be different! Last year was exactly like that for me, but I decided to try to be more outgoing, and now I have lots of people who ♥ me! So if nobody asks you, go ask them! Be awesome! ♥

Taco - there is one other person who you forgot to mention....
You need to love yourself first. When you learn to do that, you will become that much more attractive, and others will want to be with you. Until then, you give off an air of desperation and NEED, which honestly isnt that sexy...
So, screw everyone else. Do not give up hope - just stop sitting around waiting for something to happen. Instead, why dont you take yourself out for a nice dinner (make sure its somewhere where singles hang out). Then, when some guy sees you alone, he is going to ask - and thats when you can impress him with "Well, I figured someone needed to take this lady out to dinner, so I did so myself!"
Good luck. Valentines is just another craptastic holiday designed to part you with your money anyways...

Based upon a couple of things you've stated in your question, I would suggest that you spend Valentine's Day thinking about yourself, and how you present yourself.
You say that you "...either get shut down, stuck with losers or ignored". Firstly, whats with the losers comment? People can pick up on unspoken attitudes, and that one isn't very attractive. And if you say that not even your friends like you, it sounds as though you need to do some work on yourself. And once you've put in that critical time, and been honest with yourself, I think you may see a difference in how people react to you and treat you...

Tacogirl, the right guy is on his way.Just don't get down.The reason the guy says he's ask another girl is because he's not meant for you.Wait for the good one, and find you some true friends.Go out Valentines and make 2 new friends......Oh, one more thing for you think about.They only run when they are being chased.So you walk slowly and he'll find you.....
