im going to be 30 on the 16th of this month, and i've been to some pretty amazing 30th birthday celebrations recently, weekends away in large groups etc...to avoid the pressure of having to live up this high standard, ive booked myself on a meditation retreat, 11 days, i leave tommorow, am going alone. there is no speaking/reading/writing permitted for the duration and i will turn 30 on the penultimate day! i have never been into meditation before so this is going to be some different birthday.
i have a big thing about 30 being your peak, so i am scared a bit...all downhill from here!

The one thing you cant do anything about is getting older. Dont waste whats left of your 20's worrying about whats coming up. It's only a number you really are as old as you feel and having turned 40 last year myself i am now much more confident fun loving and out going than ive ever been in my life. 20' 30' 40' just enjoy life. maybe ill worry when im looking at 70.

I've just turned 30. Loads of people tell me thirties are the best. I can see why, You're not a stupid anymore, wiser and more confident. A friend said you find your self in your 30s. I still feel 18 inside so I'm not worried. It will probably hit me like a tonne of bricks when I'm 40!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was 30 again but then saying that I'm now 37 and don't feel any older!

Enjoy your day - be like me and still smile about how good it was 7 (nearly 8) years later

All the best

When I hit a big number I think to myself how would I feel if I was going to be 10 years older than that...then it doesn't seem as bad. You really have to trust me here, 30 is not bad and definitely not old.

Enjoy your day when it comes.

Age is a state of mind. You are only that age when you feel it. I am past 30 and it isn't any different when I was in my 20s.

turned 30 a couple of months ago and its fine - i spent the whole of my 29th year worrying about it - any time i got asked my age it was always 'almost 30!' but had a fab full week of celebrations and realised that its all good. i think oddly enough its quite liberating - 'cos you just cant pretend you're a kid any more. you have to face up to being a adult...(boo hoo!) enjoy the last of this decade and look forward to your next one! good luck xx

I will be, well in my dreams as don't feel a day older, very sadly I am. Don't be scared - enjoy every minute of your celebrations and then go forward making the best of every day and stay happy as you work your way through life's experiences.

Well I'm 40 this year, does that make you feel any better? I was watching Star Wars and Liverpool winning the European cup when you were being born!
