This a new house and contracters were no help on how to clean wood floors, granite, shower doors and stainless steele. I have all the basic cleaners for all, but frankly.......they all suck! Especially the cleaners for my glass shower doors, like I said, I have all the basic store cleaners and I still see those ugly water marks.

Lemon oil has never let me down. I have a cleaning company, and anytime i clean shower doors I use lemon oil. It will make anything on them disappear with scrubbing, and it well help keep water spots, soap scum, etc. off.

We bought a 25 year old home last year and the shower door was terrible with spots. I don't think it had been cleaned the whole time. After trying everything from vinegar, ZUD, BAM, Scrubbin' Bubbles, I finally came across this stuff called SpotX. It is a powder and you really have to scrub really HARD, but my shower door looked like brand new when I got done. Oh and it has no smell and you don't have to wear gloves.

You might have lime scale. Try something like CLR, or Lime Away. There's also a WONDERFUL product called simply "Orange Cleaner". (Not "Orange Clean"...it's "Orange CleanER") It's much better for the environment, but cleans like nothing else I've ever found. It's in a very plain, generic-looking bottle, and can be found at a lot of grocery stores.

Bleach Water. We deal with this stain everyday at work.

1. Wear Rubber Gloves
2. Mix 1/4 cup bleach with Water filled to the top of your spray bottle.
3. Spray the Mixture on the doors
4.Wait about 30 seconds to a minute then wipe down your doors with a Rag.

I use vinegar and water (mix in a spray bottle). after spraying the doors wipe down with a towel. They come out great. Some spots may need a little rubbing, but it works.

Some types of glass just shouldn't be used in showers. It's likely that your door is etched. In which case, nothing will remove the water stains. Is it cloudy, and greyish? If so,you are stuck with the door the way it is.Sorry!
