But personally I would never accept the terms and conditions that come with any free domain names. The only value in a domain name is that you can control it with ease.

They're cheap enough anyway

Not a true domian like a .com/.net.org or country domain. www.nic.tk offer 'free' .tk domains, but there are a lot of restrictions. You have t o have a lot of traffic otherwise you will lose the domain.

In all fairness, domains dont cost a lot so you are better off forking out a few bucks for a domain than relying on a 'free' service if you are serious about it.

You might be able to, but I'd be concerned with the hidden obligations.

Try GoDaddy, I think they start at less than $2

Also, one way to make the cost low is to buy the name for like 10 years, comes out very cheaply.

I got one through this website but a person has to live in the USA or Canada. Didn't cost anyhting except for some of my time.
