I acually didn't know people cared so much about this whole subject, but what people forget is at one time we were all slaves. In the Romain ages white and blacks were all slaves it didn't matter. Maybe instead of having a black history month we should just have a people month, and learn about people who faught for their freedom and ours, who faught for equal rights and equal treament. I kinda get the point though that we did treat them sooo awful, acually so badly words can't really described and the worst part is, their own tribes traded them or guns and stuff like that.

Most of what is taught in school is white (European) history. There is no need to have a special month for it. Black history month was designed to make people conscious of the contributions made by African American Americans that may have been over looked in the past.

Because we black people have contributed so much to american history. and we only get to celebrate our history once a year most white people celebrate their history or their roots all year round and som white people have the nerve to say that they ain't go no black in dem. If you are one of those kind of people, get a clue. White people have black in them and black people have white in them somewhere.
