test (the one thats five days before your period)to see if I'm pregnant? Or is it too early still?

Implantation occurs 7-10 days after ovulation, and once the fetus implants it starts producing pregnancy hormone. With that said pregnancy tests can detect the pregnancy hormone as early as 10 days post ovulation, but I have found that they are more accurate between 12-14 days post ovulation. You could definitely try a test. I suggest going to the dollar store and getting a few tests there, they are cheap and they work just as well then you don't have to feel guilty about testing!! Good luck and baby dust.

There's a problem with those early pregnancy tests. If you read the small print on the back of the box you will see how they are hardly effective before a missed period so it almost defeats the purpose of them being produced. I believe 5 days before is something like 60% and each day closer to your period it goes up a few numbers. So if you're taking it 3 days before your missed period the test is only like 75-85% effective anyways. I say just wait until after you've already missed and take a regular pregnancy test thats 98 or 99% effective.

Yes, you can take a test if you want. But be prepared that it may be too early at this point. I found the best test to take is the Walmart brand-Equate. The best test on the market in my opinion. Dont waste your money on those $15 tests that say they detect early. The cheap equate will do exactly the same if not even better and alot cheaper. GOOD LUCK and make sure to use first morning urine to get the most accurate answer!

Same exact boat here! I have taken a couple tests, and they are negative still. From what I've heard and what I've read, although the early tests are somewhat accurate, you really have to wait until a day or two until your period comes. Now, you may be actually making enough HCG for it to show up on a test- this is possible, but not "likely". To be economical, either order a bunch of tests from the internet and test your heart out, or wait until you are a day or two past period due date to take a test.
www.early-pregnancy-test.com has some tests for like 85 cents a piece if you get 20 of them.

it does say that you can test 5 days before but i would acutally wait till the 8th if you cant wait =)

if you decide that you do want to find out then do the blood work...and you can do that around the 7th or the 8th ealiest...and insist on the blood when you go to the ob cuz when you say you want to take a test to see if your preggo they do the pee.....so make sure you let them know you want to do the blood work

the pee thing is sometimes not always right so itll be better if you can wait. I know waiting is hard but itll save you money and also youll get more accurate answer.

also you can be late if you think too much about it so try to relax..i know its hard but dont want you to have your hopes high and not have your period and think your preg when yournot yah know...so relax and keep practicing...winkwink..lol

good luck sweetie

I think it is to early and I believe that those test lie that can't always detect the hcg hormone in your body every women is very different, to get the best results I would wait until a week after your missed period, best of luck.

If you had sex during possible ovulation dates, then yes, you could be pregnant. Wait until Sunday and if you don't get your period, take a test. If you aren't financially able to afford another child, then I would recommend not having sex if you take your BC pill late or miss one. If you must have sex, then may I suggest a condom?

I believe you should wait till you miss a period . You can get a blood test that will show a few days after conception.
