I want to buy a PNY Geforce 8800 GTX and it says as part of its specifications that I need a power supply with a 12V/30A.

I would prefer a 600W+ powersupply that gives me 12V/30A but any help is appreciated.

Newegg does have "Reviews" this may help you make a better choice. I can not really say which brand is best. A 600-650 Watt should be a better choice.
This article here may help you; http://www.motherboards.org/articles/guides/1487_3.html
It will explain a little about the Label on the side of the power supply.
I will say Thermaltake seems to get good reviews. There are others.
Here a 600 watt @ newegg and it have a 5 egg rating. $105

If the price seem high remember, it better to spend a little on a good power supply then to buy something cheap and it burn out in 6 months.
I bought a 500 Watt Coolmax for $28. The ONLY Reason I bought it was @ zipzoomfly it was FREE Shipping and a $28 Rebate so it only cost me 58 cents. Mailing of rebate and a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. IF, I actually get the rebate. But, I not trust this power supply to handle everything and will buy a Thermaltake, CoolerMaster (I did not mean Cooler Max), ixon something along those lines with a 600-650 Watts.
