I have to purchase a laptop computer to be used as a raffle prize. (The raffle drawing is in June.) I am ready to buy the new computer with Vista but some people are telling me not to because there may be "bugs." I don't want to purchase something that is obsolete and will be even more so in June. What do you advice me to do? Should I buy the new vista or a laptop with windows xp?

I would buy the Vista because if there are bugs Microsoft will take care of them and online updates are free.I have it and so far so good been using it almost a week!

Go ahead with Vista.
I'm been using Vista for a while and it's fine.
And if they don't want Vista on it, you can always go back to XP.
