I like Eddie Murphy better because he doesn't need as many sight gags as Martin Lawrence does. Eddie can act. He seems more comfortable in front of a camera.

Well it depends, your personal taste will vary from one person to another. Simply acting and overall body of work, Eddie Murphy is a more versatile actor, blending easily from comedy,to musicals,drama and even animated works. Martin is funny in a edgier more simplistic and predictable sort of way. I think it is harder for Martin to breakaway from what he's perceived as an actor...just a funny guy. Final analysis Eddie Murphy is the more polished actor.

Neither are actresses. They are male actors. And beyond that they both kinda suck. They are comedians. Not really actors. But if I had to choose I'd say Eddie Murphy.
