Of course it's possible. Ladies back in those days were not only expected to marry and have children, they were looked upon peculiarly if they did not. There are many many older women that are lesbians, they just could never be honest about it in the times they lived in.
She's still your Grandmother, love the hell out of her.

And how would you know this?
#1 do you have any proof
#2 has she giving you some reason, for you to think that
#3 have you come right out and asked her
#4 so what if she is, would you have a problem with that?

Yes it is possible and will that change how you think of her? I hope not she is the same person you know and what she is or does in privacy shouldn't change a thing.
