Nice try, not quite there! The above statement is clearly a lie, but that doesn't have to flip into the paradoxical statement that "everything I say is true" - just that not everything is false.

So you, at least, sometimes lie and sometimes don't.

Whether that makes you a liar depends on:
- Your definition of liar
- How often that "sometimes" is.

Most people would not say that someone had to always lie to be a liar (that would disqualify everybody). Neither would most people say that if someone once lied they are a liar (that would make the entire world's population liars).

If I way that I always tell lies, will I be lying? It is not only the manner of speaking alone that constitutes a lie, it tell a lie is propose something or suggest something that leads up to disorder in a situation. If a person knows nothing about counting and I tell his that two comes before one that would be a lie, for the just order of things is corrupted.

Confession of one's untruthfulness is not a lie, but a governing truth for all the lies.

that's how Ulysse escaped the grasp of the cyclope.
It's an ever ending paradox.
If you are indeed a liar, then when you say everything you say is a lie, it's a lie, so everything you say is true, but you lied, because you said everything you say is a lie.
got to go, I've a nose bleed.

No you cannot be. For if that statement is a lie, then you are not a liar all the time as the statement suggests.

No. Because you just admitted the truth that everything you say is a lie. Although, you said everything you say is a lie, so are you lying when you say you lie everytime you say something. Am I lying? Are you lying? It is all a matter of point of view of this specific question.

You could be an oxymoron. The oxymoron would be a truthful liar. That is what I believe you are, my friend.

If you say ''everything I say is a lie,so you are a liar'',that means you are telling a lie again. That is,everything you say is true and you aren't a liar.

If you are referring to the philosophy that nothing is certain except for "i think therefore i am" then sure, for all practical purposes you can be called a liar.

But you are not. For in saying that everything you say is a lie, you are not lying.
