On some occasions my left arm will start to go numb. It happens every so often and only last a few minutes. I also have some very weird chest pains. This has gone on for a few years and I recently just got health insurance but I was trying to see if this happened to anyone else or if anyone knows about something similar to this. This usually happens during the day just out of the blue, I don't do anything in particular for it do happen. I am going to go to the doctor but I like to know a little bit more information going into the doctor so anyone who can help, I would appreciate it.

I am 5'9 and 125 lbs so I don't think it's the weight issue and I haven't had any injuries to myself.

This is completely random... but do you drink a lot of diet sodas? I used to drink 3-4 a day and my arms would go numb and tingle. My Dr. recommended that I stop drinking it and the numbness actually went away. Granted, you may have a more serious problem that is heart/weight related. But I thought I'd share this experience.

It sounds as though you may have issues with your ulnar nerve or possibly carpal tunnel. The ulnar nerve goes from your elbow to your fingers and can cause numbness and tingling. You may want to see an orthopedic surgeon and have him determine if this is the cause. I seriously doubt theres a clot there if you have had no injury or previous blood clots. Good luck!

Either Angina pectoris or cervical spondylitis could be involved. Since anyway you are seeing a doctor, I am sure he/she will check you out.

well....i couldn't tell you i'd have to check your arm and see if your muscle is tense around your joints...other than that it could be heart related
