How do you find hidden folders within a computer?

My friend thinks her boyfriend maybe hiding something from her,can you hide folders within a computer.

Yes you can. In windows xp, open up any folder, select Tools menu and then select Folder Options. Select the view tab, scoll down a bit and select Show hidden files and folders and then press Apply All Folders button on top. Now you can see all hidden files and folders. FYI, this will also show some operating system files so be careful what you delete or modify.
