Proponents of Intelligent Design certainly seem to think so. They seem to think that the idea of an "Intelligent Designer" is scientific. This would certainly seem to place "God" within the universe as an object of empirical study. What do you think? Can we learn about "God" using beakers and test tubes? Is it conceivable that an "Intelligent Creator" might someday be a necessary part of some scientific theory? What are your thoughts on this issue? I'll probably ask this question in a few different categories to get some different answers and perspectives. I write this question because I saw an article in my local paper advocating intelligent design in science classes. I'm definitely writing a letter to the editor. :D

God will more likely be understood through revelation than observation, and understanding is part of the gift and reward promised to the "seekers". Observation ,as well as any research or questioning, is always a part of the process.
"Seek and you will find" is the gift of understanding promised to those who after repeated effort finally "get it" and are rewarded with the answers they seek.
Any answer is just the key to a lock on a door. Use the keys...unlock the doors... venture inside.

Perhaps the question left unasked is would you rather have knowledge or faith, and which is the greater prize....?

This statement either is totally false or totally true:

(Hebrews 3:4) 4 Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God."

--If we say partly, that cannot be the case!

--Either nobody built the house & God did not construct all things OR as the scripture above states is totally true. If we deny the builder then we can deny God,-- BUT-- If we do not deny the builder than we cannot deny God with reason or logic!

-It is a very simple equation, no tricky doctrines, just simple facts.

Why not follow, what many scientests and researchers do, with these simple learning proceedures, that somebody made available?

Moses biographical sketches of what God provided:

(Job 12:7-9)  7 However, ask, please, the domestic animals, and they will instruct you; Also the winged creatures of the heavens, and they will tell you.  8 Or show your concern to the earth, and it will instruct you; And the fishes of the sea will declare it to you.  9 Who among all these does not well know That the hand of Jehovah itself has done this,"

Further reference by a Jewish lawyer:

(Romans 1:20) 20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable;

If someone denied that Frank Loyd Wright lived, what would people use besides historical docuements, as to his reality?

--Would they not look to his designs of many buildings and edifices, as proof?

--If that applies to puny man, why should that not apply phenomenly to the Grand Maker.

--There are many things in nature that if they were not relegated to God's handiwork would be unreasonabe to try to explain, thus we would have to believe the pseudo science of evolution, which violates true science and reason.

--If humans could totally explain the energies behind such forces as gravity, enertia, electro-magnetism etc. or fully understand photosynthesis, oxogen-carbon dioxide cell exchange --perhaps it might be said that indeed its just a matter of cold scientific law.
--But with these laws there involves majestic happenings & demonstrations that are interwoven with many other processes.

--Of course if we get into the beautiful things we have on earth, our human bodies--that DO NOT need-- vivid color, seeing in magnificent 3d panoramas, stereo hearing, beautiful aromas etc. etc. for us to be alive and functioning on earth--

--Why would they be present ,if in fact there is no real generous personality behind such things.

Dna, rna, genes, atoms, electrons-,stars, galaxies etc. -don't seem to have much of a personality so why relegate them to starting creation as has been done?

A scientist cannot avoid the issue of intelligent design. The reason is that in science, there is always a beginning, a start. Now, I'd rather have my kid learn evolution- because I do not see it as being contradictory to the presence of an intelligent Designer.

No. God by definition is beyond human understanding. Therefore it must be relegated to mythos because, as a human being, I can only understand the laws that are operable within the universe.

God is only understandable through observation if you have infinite observation skills and an infinite amount of time to observe what God is doing and why. mortals do not have these abilities.

How do you observe God. He is everything. How can you observe everything? God is a feeling, and emotion, a helper, a creator. You don't have to observe it, you have to feel and believe it.
