Sometimes, Natalie....sometimes. Ya gotta reach, girl.
Tell you about this one night we performed in this club; the owner really liked us.
We had worked for weeks on a Pink Floyd tune,"Shine On You Crazy Diamond." It's difficult, because there's not a steady beat in the beginning, and it requires a LOT of listening and phrasing from everyone.
We walked in the joint, knowing we were gonna perform the tune that night, and guess what?
The owner was WEARING the album T-shirt!!!!!!!!!
We did the song without error, had a great time doing it, and he sent up the waitress with a tray full of our favorite shots!
Sweet, eh?

I'm reaching but it is just for the hell of it. They are so far out of reach I will never ever reach them.

I reach for the stars and feel closer and closer to grasping them, but it seems that the farther I reach, the farther they are from me. In my mind, I think they are touchable, but I soon find that the greatest dreamer is closer than I for they imagine that they have such glory as to touch the tenders of the stars.
So pretty much, i'm reaching for the heck of it.
