If you took the one that was positive first and then the other one was negative, you could have had a chemical pregnancy, which is a term for a very early miscarriage.
False positives are so rare. If the hormone was picked up by the test, then the hormone was present when you took it.
So many pregnancies end in miscarriages and many chemical pregnancies occur where women never even know they are pregnant. If you hadn't taken a test and then just "got your period", you wouldnt have known the difference.
Nothing can beat a blood test from your doctor to give you your exact hcg levels. Anything over six will tell you that you are, in fact, pregnant. Hope this helped.

If you go for the 3rd time is a charm you may want to take the test as soon as you get up. The levels are higher in morning urine then during the day. And make sure you follow every thing to the Tee. The only thing the doctors office can do different then you can at home is do a blood test. The doctors office uses the same test for the most part then you can get at the store. Just make sure check the exp. date on the box. And remember you don't really need to buy and spend alot of money for a stick you pee on. If you are still unsure talk to your family doctor and see what they say.

You need to retake the test and follow the instructions to the tee. Also if you took them at different times of the day you may have gotten a false negative. If the positive was taken in the morning its because this is when your urine would have the highest level of hcg.

MOre than likely the positive is correct. False Negatives are common. False Positives arent. Just take another test in a day or two.

If you get a positive then you are pregnant.

If they were two different brands then one may not detect the same level of hormone as the other. If they were the same brand then it may have just been the timing of when you did them that gave you two different results. False positives are very very rare though.

well was the first negative and the next positive because if the first was negative and then you waitied untilt he next day to take another and it was positive then mayby your hormone level finally started showing but mayby you could go see your doctor and get a blood test done just to make sure. Chances are the positive one was not wrong.

well, it is much more common to have a false negative than it is a false positive! but go get a blood test done to be CERTAIN!! you can go and spend all sorts of $$ on other pregnancy tests...but the blood test will be the most help for you! good luck!

Accuracy of the test. Did you take them at the same time? If not probably take the results of the most recent one. More than likely your pregnant unless you got a really cheap test.

go to the doctor. Or make sure you take the same brand of tests if your doing it at home. Sometimes taking two different brand of preg tests can make the results different. If you used the same preg test both times. then i would stick to the positive result. just to be safe.

Take another test. Get the one that says the words "pregnant" or "not pregnant" on it. It's an easier test than dealing with the "+" and "-".
