pink, blue and black are most common - go with bright fuschia pink, or pale yellow, or even a grapefruit orange colour.. stunning

I wore a zebra print slinky strapless dress to prom (2001) and my dress was THE best, EVERYONE said so. My advice, forget COLORS go for a bold pattern. It's SO childish to come toe to toe in one color, be bold and stand out, you'll be known as the girl who rocked the cutest dress (like me)!!

yeah I say a hot fushia pink. I personally hate the color pink, and yes, prom is a perfect time for all those girls who love the color pink to wear it proud, but only rarely do you see a nice hot fushia pink dress. I wore one a few years ago and it was HOTTTTTTTT
