insert windows cd, shut down computer, restart computer, push delete to get into bios before windows boots, change the first boot device to cd, save changes and exit bios.

the computer will now boot using the windows cd in the drive. follow the instructions on screen to reinstall windows.

you will have options to repair or install a fresh copy of windows.

1. Have a good set of Windows Cd's.
2. Save all your files off to Cd's, thumb drives, etc.
3. go on the Internet and find the drivers for your PC. Look at your Device Drive list and make note of all your device info.

4. You install Windows 2 ways, one is you can install over the Windows you have now. It might work (50% chance). Boot with the Windows CD in, and select reinstall.

5. Or you delete the drive and install Windows 'from scatch'. Start with the Windows CD in the drive when you boot up, delete the partition, format, and install. If you are doing this method, consider a new hard drive if yours is old.
