Katherine is a name that never goes out of fashion, or sounds boring or old. It's simply elegant and beautiful. And Kat or Katie (not Kathy, way too boring) are great nicknames. And no, my name is not Katherine! LOL

I think its a classic name but still elegant name. Katharine is also one of the prettiest English names it dates back to the 1700's when the Brithish came to America.

Katherine is my middle name and I love it. It's a fun name because of all the different spellings & nicknames that you can use. I also think Kathleen & Katelyn are pretty names.

Go with something a little more original. There are so many great names out there that 100 other girls don't already have! This name is turning into another "Jennifer" or "Amy"......there are 3 girls with the same name in every classroom now!
