Study and get good grades, keep your room clean, do your chores, and honor your parents. That isnt much, but it take you a long way.

Every girl is different at sixteen. Some just want to get out of the house and explore their freedom. But not all sixteen year olds are like that. If you raise them right they'll be okay. If the leash is too tight, they'll go wild behind your back.

Depending on what you'd like to know, I can only tell you that there are more factors involved than you think. Social pressure, parents, the area they live in, the kind of people they associate with, the way they were raised and how much discipline and responsibility they have makes a difference.

But then again, I think almost every teenager dabbles in sex drugs and rock and roll....well, maybe not so much the rock and roll part but you get the picture.

Expected of the true, nowadays average 16 y/o girl? Or the ideal, average, 16 y/o girl?
Ideal, I would imagine she would hang out with friends, but not do anything too inappropriate like drink underage or go party all night. I imagine she would focus on school and homework because she would understand that education is the key to success in life in all but the most fortunate cases. I would expect her to realize that unsafe sex and/or premarital sex is dangerous and could cost her a substantial part of her future if something were to go wrong. I would expect her to respect her parents. I would expect her to do what is right, and not just what is fun.

I'd be expecting her to be just finding out who she is, what her roots are, and what she stands for...I think she'd be studying and looking into career options, and opening doors for her future. And yes she might be partying (hey, we all have to live our lives) and experimenting with things she might regret doing later on..but thats life.

..It depends on the individual, just because you're a certain age, doesn't mean there are specific things that you have to be doing.

=)

I would think of the average 16 year old girl as a preppy, wanna-be whore. Makes me glad I was always so weird. The American culture is sickening.
