I'm just a high-schooler myself, and I have been sexually harassed (well, verbally sexually harassed). I want to help people who are dealing with that as well as self-esteem problems, which I also suffered with for many years. What could I do, other than make a web site or something? thanks!

Check into the bully prevention program by Dan Olweus. It's a national program that many schools have impremented.

Yeah it is a huge problem 20/20 needs to do an expose on the issue. I saw a statistic that said 13 out of 10 self employed people report being sexually harassed by their boss. (((Catti)))

i am sorry that is happening in your life, it makes me angry to think that that type of abuse goes on in schools, but they have a no-tolerance policy for being late to class.....absolute hypocrites. I personally would find a better school within a great education system in your area, if the problem iss that severe, you should discuss with your parents and have a talk with an administrator giving them the names of the people doing the harrassing...they must be stopped. when they are dealt with properly, you will feel better with your self-esteem. if parents/school admins cant help, then you should speak to a pro about it. asap

Growing up in the outskirts of a city, but fully exposed to assh**es, I say slap the bastards, but be prepared for a fight. But rationally thinking, report them to your counselor or principal. If they don't help at ALL, think I think you are able to sue. I know sueing isn't nice, but some people don't listen until such measures are made. (But use that as a last alternative.)

If the school offical don't help. Go to the police.

You might try talking to some one at your news paper.
You'll need to keep good records.
Names, times, dates and etc. Make a big stink.

I'd like to know what you consider to be sexual harassment. If a guy is just flirting with you, that's NOT harassment. Now if he's talking dirty to you, I'd consider that to be harassment.
