this is a very broad question.

If the files was sent to you via email, you should be able to "save as" the file by right clicking on it typically. Then just name the file, and where you want to save it. Once saved you can edit the file.

If you create your own WORD file, for example, you can save it, and then "save as" again for a different name.

If it is already saved somewhere on your computer, you should be able to simply open it, move it, etc without issue.

If it is a "read-only" file, then you can once again "save as" the file under a different name, and you can then open the file and edit it.

That about sums it up, not sure what area of "copying" you are looking for.

right click on it and hold down on the button then move your mouse to adifferent spot and let go and click the option that says make copy and save it as whatever you want
