Shamefully, Europeans were involved in the slave trade. HOWEVER. We weren't the first into it but we were among the first to abolish it. Afrcian slave traders sold their own people to the Europeans and it is still going on today. I've just read a book about a village that was raided by Somali warriors and the author of the book was sold to a Saudi Arabian family as a slave.

but ..jesus was a slave too.
