Smile and the world loves you.
Frown and you become a jerk.

Love is forgiving mistakes that we make
Love is ignoring our flaws
It is too deep to be fake
And heartfelt from base to crest

It melts away fears and sorrows
Love gladdens our heart
It is a promise of more tomorrows
And to never part

Love is an act be being together
A promise you do not break
Love is more uplifting than the lightest feather
Someone's heart do we take

Love is a treasure
Something we cherish
It is a pleasure
If we do it right it will never perish

That is a silly assignment. If it is a place where other people can read it, that means it is published. That is what published means -- to put a piece of writing on display for the public.

That being said, search for "poetry" and you are bound to find plenty of websites of people who put up their own poetry.

Here's to the girl with the nice knockers
Her smile will knock you off your blockers
But when you get too close
Watch out for the smell
She's eaten way too much
At Taco Bell
