BE CAREFUL WITH STARTING FLUID.
1. Very flammable
2. Washes the cylinder walls dry (removes oil film)
First check all the fuses! Turn the ignition ON and also park lights
Using a TEST LIGHT, touch each side of the fuses, the light should light on BOTH sides of the fuse. "DO NOT LOOK AT FUSE TO SEE IF IT LOOKS BURNT" sometimes a fuse looks good but is burnt in the thick part of plastic.
If you find a fuse that lights on one side only, change the fuse. Especially if it fuel pump fuse. With the gas cap off - listen to the gas tank. Have some one turn the key on and off, you should hear a whir noise.(This means the pump is turning)
HOW OLD IS THE FUEL FILTER??
A plugged fuel filter can cause the same symptoms.
Chrysler is known for ground troubles. Poor connections may be the root trouble. Check everything!!

Mr. Know it All has a good list but I just want to add that be SURE it's not out of gas. I had a pal who messed around with his for 2 months before finding that the gas gauge had stuck at 1/4 full and the car was simply out of gas.

Most likely though is a bum fuel pump. If you turn the key to the "run" possision you should hear a slight hum coming from the gas tank, if not then you probably have a bad pump. Also, you will want to get outside and near the gas tank to listen as many pumps can not be heard form inside the car.

Are you getting fuel? If it's only running with the starter fluid you supply it, then it sounds like it may not be getting the proper amount of fuel. Start with your fuel filter, and work your way from there...the filter is the cheapest. From there, start thinking about fuel lines and pumps.

Do as JDM said. Some vehicles have pump and filter together. Just hope it's not in the gas tank.
