from people on IM (you appear off-line)? And do you have the same feeling as when you close your phone?

the only time I hide is when I get too many IM's.
and my phone sometimes rings too much too often so I turn it off.

I almost never log that thing on. The phone is different - only people I'm sure I want to talk to have my cell number - the other phone I answer or not depending on if I'm hiding.

I hide all the time from Im s because if your online with a purpose , being interupted can not be fun. I only show myself when am on to talk

A lot of the time. But no I never have the same feeling about my cell phone (I leave it on)

I have never opened my IM's since I have been on Yahoo...and my phone...alot of times I just push the little button on the left if I don't want to answer....(my daughter calls that the F.U. button)... it sends the call straight to my voice mail.

I hide myself as many times as it takes to get rid of someone that I don't want to talk to!

i turn my IM on when i am in the mood to talk..otherwise i just keep invisible to keep track of incoming mail..when i don't want to answer the phone, i leave the house..
