How would you feel about the first woman president? I think it would be cool, but if she does get elected then I think she will be one of the few presidents to be killed. I would not want her killed, but I think a lot of people would have something against a woman president. HEY, any guys out there-how would you feel about a woman president?-do you think that women are finally taking over?-do you feel like the men are losing control?-do you think she will lose the election just because she is a female?-do you want her to lose the election just because she is a female?

I think that Hillary can win the Democratic nomination - but since she has zero ability to get votes from anybody but Democratic party loyalists - she would get trounced by just about any of the potential Republican candidates.

Doodlez ... I don't think America is quite ready for a female president. However, if one is elected, I believe America would accept it. If Hillary Clinton is elected, there will be plenty of fussing. Many people think she's just not worthy and she wants the presidency more than she wants to serve America. People generally had the same impression about her husband, by the way, and that's why he never won with more than 50% of the popular vote.

Yes, yes, I KNOW the Electoral College decides and the choice is not made by the popular vote, but the matter of getting less than half of the popular vote is often cited as evidence that voters were divided and that Bill Clinton had no mandate, as they say.

Would a female president be assassinated? Some nut case might try, but they're always trying. The Secret Service acts on threats to the president on nearly a daily basis. I've even seen the president's life threatened right here in Yahoo Answers. However, we only hear about the threats/acts that are serious enough to make the news. All the threats are treated seriously, but some threats are more formidable than others.

Should a female candidate lose merely because she's female? No, I think not. But Hillary is going to be attacked like no other candidate has been attacked before. But she's no push-over. In fact, I think she'll fight back like a cornered cat and that will actually improve her standings in the polls. It wouldn't impress me to see such "gutter-style" campaign tactics, but most others would be positively affected by seeing Hillary going for someone's proverbial "jugular."

You're a feminist aren't you? You're just DYING for someone to get on here and say, "No, she'll lose because she's a girl and girls are stupider than guys."lol!

Well, all jokes aside, I think that it would be great to have a woman president -just not that woman. I think that she would be a strong leader, but she stands for all that I am against, and I don't think that a lot of people are that fond of her. She would try to push her agenda. Just look at what was on her dear hubby's to-do list. The very first thing he did was get the ban lifted on gays in the military. Personally, I don't think that was such a good idea.

How about somebody like Condi Rice? She'd be good in '08.

I defiantly don't think gender should be an a reason to vote against someone, but I actually think Hillary would be a fantastic President. She's highly intelligent, knows how the system works, and has shown in the Senate she can work well with the GOP. Everyone who declares she "can't win" has no idea what their talking about, because she is a fund raising titan and actually polling ahead of McCain as of a few weeks ago (although its too early for that to mean anything). I can't stand people who simply yell against Hillary because they "don't like her." Listen to her first, if you don't like her views, vote for someone else. But don't vote for someone based on what you've heard from sensationalist media. Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rudy, and even (dare I say it) George Bush are all fascinating and remarkable people - listen to them before you declare your opposition.

I think it will be very difficult for Hilary to win since she has a high anti-vote %, meaning that people would vote for anyone else besides her. Only a few political actors have been re-elected with high anti-votes, the only two that come to mind are Ray Naquin (D) mayor of New Orleans and William Jefferson (D) LA congressman.

If she gets the nomination, yes. The only thing that would stop her, is if she would want the VP to be a total idiot, like Sharpton or something like that. Hey, we have a male draft dodger there now. A woman pres couldn't be that bad. At least she has showed up the last 20 years.

I'm not so shallow as to determine my support of anyone based merely on gender or ethinicity. My support is based on issues. And Congressman Ron Paul is the only prospective Presidential candidate who actually supports the United States Constitution wholly whereas all the other candidates have opposed it from time to time, in varying degrees, based on their votes. Congressman Paul's record is untarnished and that's why he's got my unconditional support.

She has to get the Democratic nomination first, but if she gets that, then she will be the next President.

(Shudder) I hope she does not. I'm all for a woman, if its the right woman. I can't think of anything that would induce me to vote for Hilary. Ick
