Why? Its ridiculously stupid to get a passport if you don't need one. If your not leaving the country whats the point. The only benefit of a passport is that its the only form of ID needed for the I-9 form in place of using 2 other IDs. Unless you want him to get your daughter one so that you can escape the country with her.

If they are not planning international travel why do they need a passport? I've never had one and don't feel as if I need one and I'm 46 years old. If and when I plan to travel outside the US then I'll get my passport.

Why are you so anxious for them to have a passport? Unless they were to leave the USA they don't need one. I didn't have a passport until I was 55.

For you? you don't need their consent. Now, if the father doesn't want one, then their isn't a lot you can do. As far as the child, it takes both parents to get the passport, as obvioulsly, the child will be leaving the country.

I don't have a passport. Why is it so important to you that they have passports? Tell them how they feel and if they want passports, then they will get them. If not, leave them alone!

Maybe they have just had a really expensive garage bill, say THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY POUNDS for brakes to his car and have lost all hope of getting them. Otherwise, just keep nagging them and I'm sure they will give in.
