It is so disturbing that the Mexican media tries to claim these so-called, blond, blue-eyed Nordic-looking Argentine "actors" like Sebastian Rulli, Christian Bach, Juan Soler, Patricio Borghetti and Rene Strickler as "their own", simply because of their pale skin, as if that's a credit to Mexico! Not even a Spanish, or Italian actor gets this much attention, let alone a Mexican, mestizo actor! Would they have get the red carpet treatment if they were mestizos from the provinces of Jujuy or Salta in Argentina? I don't think so! Back home in Argentina, they'd probably be waiting tables! No wander they never leave Mexico! Jerks! If they think it's because of their great acting skills, they're incredible naive.

Dude, it's the same everywhere... just watch any tv show in the US, everyone is white, and in the US you have latinos, africanamerican, native american, chinese-american, etc, etc... almost always the best part goes to the white girl or boy. It's the same in Argentina, in Brazil, in Mexico, and everywhere else. It's marketing dude! it's not the fixation with the white skin in Mexico... visualy a chick or dude with white skin, blue eyes and light hair is more appealing than any other race.

But what I can tell you is that Mexican actor for "telenovelas" or sope-operas in Mexico SUCK as actor, they can't act even if their lives depended on it. And that is due to the fact that Mexican movie industrie is in diapers and all they got is TV. Hopefully that will change sometime in the future, because I've seen some Mexican movies lately that Rock! like Babel and Pan's laberynth (I know that last movie is located in Spain, but the production is mainly Mexican).

But if you want to see some actors that are really mestizos or down right mexican native cultures, you should check out some actors and singers from TV Azteca, like Erasmo Catarino, that dude sure can sing!

Guess my answer got a bit long, sorry about that, he he he. Have a good one dude!!

That's a very good question. I assume that you speak and write and Spanish, so your question may be very good to post on the Mexico Answers page. Just click the Mexican flag on the bottom of this page and it will take you there.
