Its not a WEP key that you need its the admin password.

When you log into the router is will ask you for a User ID and password. The default user is 'Admin' and the default password is blank.

Of course, you may have changed your password.

Once you log in you'll be taken to the router configuration page.

A WEP key is something completely different.

If you just setup the router you need to be connected with the ethernet cable (cat5) from your PC to the router. Then you can access the router's page. Also, if it's the first time you login to it, the password might not be necessary and then you will chose a new one.
Once you login, in the security section you can chose to use WEP or WPA and once you type a password the router translates it to a key. But you need to remember your password because you will type it in your Connection wizard in control panel to login.
WPA is advised.

First off, run the installation CD that came with your router. After that's done, hard-wire your computer to the router, and THEN try 192.168.1.1 to log into your router. If that doesn't work, then try contacting Linksys @ 1.800.326.7114
