I'm trying to track down some family members-the last places of residency were Denver, CO and San Diego, CA. I know they owned their homes, I would like to search by name. I lost all addresses that were given to me.

You have a variety of ways available. Since you said they owned their homes and want to search online, I would start with these two tools - zabasearch.com first, and then veromi.com. The first is a free people finder that lists not only names, but addresses and phone numbers and when the information was last found to be current. The second is a great tool that will show you the names of towns where people live/lived, as well as family member names frequently. Both often include the age of the parties to help you seperate more common names from similar ones. Veromi charges for more information, but I've found the two tools work very well together.

If neither of these works for you, then try the county assessor's office. Below is the link to the San Diego and Jefferson County (Denver). You should be able to find their information from here as well.
