Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

Probably you should do Nothing at all. All comuters must have spyware in them. Tracking cookies are spyware and most websites like Yahoo, MSN, Iwon.com. to name a few will not function without spyware. That is where they get their money to stay profitable. Watching you and seeing what you need or want. Then trying to sell it to you. Read your Yahoo Mail, it tells you right on there they are snooping on you.

Do nothing . Who is it hurting in your case???

Kim Kommando website has lots of free downloads that work well for eliminating spyware. I use them from time to time because she keeps her downloads up to date. Just go to kimkommando.com

You need to go out and buy a good 'Internet Security' disk and run it on your computer IMMEDIATELY. I use 'P-cillin' and that works really, really well on 'spyware' and it also 'keeps a check on it' daily and tells me if I want to 'download' something 'suspicious' or even 'dangerous.'

Hire a pro to CLEAN the computer completely. Then, put some good AV software on it - whatever you do don't buy or install Norton or McAfee.
