There are some natural ways to treat depression

This one is a very old one it was the first treatment on record for depression and in some cases they still use it when some one has depression that does not respond to Rx's

You need to set a schedule go to bed every night at midnight and get up at six am sleep deprivation releases the brain chemicals that help depression.

And exercise will help you need to do at least one hour of vigorous exercise again this makes the brain make the chemicals that make you feel better.

I know when you are depressed this is the last thing that you want to do but it will help just give it time

And there are some teas that will help but please note that you can not take them if you are on anti-depressants because they inter react

To calm nerves

1 1/2 oz peppermint leaves
1 1/2 oz lemon-balm leaves

use one teaspoon of the mixture per cup of boiling water steep for ten min strain

To help give you a lift for energy use green tea and ginseng tea or mix them

This is the only one you can not take with the Rx

1 1/3 oz St.John's wort
1 oz lemon-balm leaves
1 oz Valerian

use one teaspoon of the mixture per cup of boiling water. Drink a cup of this tea before going to bed each night for several weeks to calm overwrought nerves, lift depression and help you fall asleep more easily

There are plenty of herbs out there to help balance yourself. For instance, Lavendar or Chammomile are only a few of the herbs that offer a calming effect if anxiety is the issue. There are also some like Ginseng or Yerba Mate that will bring you more energy.
Speaking of energy, it is a good idea to have a way to release your negative energy and doing so, make room for more positive energy. Exercise, creating art, writing, singing, yoga, meditation, martial arts, or pilates are some fun alternatives to focusing on the overwhelming fatigue of depression. Eating plenty of nourishing foods is always helpful in feeling better. And sometimes the love of an animal or pet friend is an amazing source of good energy. Or perhaps you could organize a group of people with similar interests to hang out with and do things together. Just stay positive and remember that we are all here to do amazing things. Good luck!

just this: taking authority over my life
controlling what I can and changing my responses to what I can't control.
1. Environment. Make it the way you like it. Colors and textures you like. Sounds that you like. Nothing allowed in that brings you down. Take charge of what you are going to allow into your space, your head, heart, mind, eyes, ears and life. You get to be the boss of this.
2. Physical fitness. Give your body the best chance it possibly can have to heal itself with good nutrition and supplements, adequate sleep, enough water, and good exercise every day. It's a better thing to focus on than the depressing things. It's hard to get started, but you got to push yourself because you will feel better.
3. An outlet. Write in a journal, paint pictures, draw, write songs, whatever creative thing that you enjoy and that makes you feel good when you are doing it.
4. Go somewhere. Shake up the routine and get some daylight. Depression is like anything else- - - practice makes perfect. So your mind is really good at falling right into the cycle like a train following a track. So throw it off track by doing something different.
Best wishes to you, dear!

Why did you/your employer might desire to pay for the NHS prescribed wellness course? i presumed some GPs budgetted for that. Are you specific there have been no money attainable for this? Please save on with the workout - it does have a experience-stable element, in spite of if that's in basic terms walking/walking around your abode/neighbourhood. St Johns Wort is an over the counter treatment for gentle-average melancholy that many people swear by employing. you additionally can evaluate crystals or Bach remedies, yet determining on the final one isn't continually user-friendly. Rose quartz is a "be stable to your self" crystal. Amethyst might nicely be a normal efficient crystal. different persons in this internet site will in all probability propose extra appropriate than me, yet while no longer purchase a e book on crystals. I as quickly as did a crystal clinical care course and that i felt so stable while i became right into a topic in the crystal information superhighway,

The only thing anti-depressants do is cover up the problem it doesn't fix them. Take daily vitamins that are natural not centrum or anything like that go to your local health store such as Whole Foods Market if you have one and ask them. You can also take a supplement called Saint John's Wart. Good Luck

there is an amino acid 5htp you can find in any health food store or pharmacy. I take it with st john's wort. I take 300 milligrams of 5htp and 300 milligrams of st johns.
these natural remedies along with rest, proper diet, exercise, sunshine and positive attitude and loving friends can be immensely helpful... but sometimes a person really might need to take something stronger prescribed by a doctor. sometimes the chemicals in the brain just need something more potent than a natural herb and a positive attitude to really feel better. there's nothing wrong with being depressed and needing to be on medication. most of the time our brain needs to 'get out of the habit' of feeling bad.

I have to agree with the gym answer. It's hard to start, but stick with it. I've gone the RX route as well, and like you, it didn't last. But a good pair of running shoes, an mp3 player and a treadmill have made me human again. Also, check your diet and get the high fructose corn syrup and nasty chemicals out of you. Never a good thing. Good luck!

what every you choose to do make sure you check with your dr first. You can not just stop taking antidepressants. And st johns wart is a serious health risk that can interfer with other kinds of medications. build yourself up slowly to learning to deal with depression as it will always be in your life. exercise is great for everything. over doing it can cause pain and therefor more depression. Take all you answers. Put them together in a plan and present it to your dr.

NATURAL TREATMENT FOR DEPRESSION STARTS WITH YOU. FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT DRIVES YOU TO THIS STAGE. THE BEST WAY IS TO DO MEDITATION. FOR THIS YOU MUST LEARN TO TAKE A SLOW AND DEEP BREATH AND RELEASE IT WITH FORCE IT OUT AT THE SAME SPEED. INITIALLY START WITH 15-20 BREATHS AND YOU MUST KEEP ATTENTION TO THE WAY YOU DO THIS. IN THIS BREATHING, YOUR DIAPHRAGM MUST GET INVOLVED. THE DIAPHRAGM IS THE MOST STRONG MEDIATOR IN PHYSIOLOGICAL AND EMOTIONAL PROCESSES IN YOUR BRAIN. ONCE YOU GET ACCUSTOMED TO WATCHING YOURSELF YOUR BREATH INCREASE THE DURATION OF MEDITATION TO 30-45 MINUTES. IF YOU SINCERELY DO THIS FOR A MONTH YOU WILL NOTICE A GREAT TRANSFORMATION IN YOU AND THEN YOU MUST MAKE IT A PART OF YOUR DAILY ROUTINE. DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICINES LIKE DIAZEPAM OR ZOLOFT WHICH ARE HABIT FORMING AND HAVE VERY SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS.YOU MAY ALSO TAKE WITHENIA SOMNIFERA (ASHWAGANDHA) 1 TEA SPOON WITH SWEET MILK FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS TO BRING A HARMONY IN YOUR SYSTEM. THIS IS NOT HABIT FORMING AND ALSO A GREAT BODY/MIND REJUVANATOR.
