Me and my girlfriend have started to have sex. we have always used a condom and been really careful about what we do.

this month, she is 4 days late for her period. its undescribable and i dont really know what to do. We have always been careful and never head a spilt of spilled or anything like that.

She has missed her period by up to 2 weeks before, however she is concerned and she sais "things dont feel right down there", even though she seems to be in the PMT mood.

any advice?

ok thank you all for your replies.

I will suggest a pregnancy test, if she is not pregnant this time, what is the best contraception? if she is we will go to the doc's.

thanks again all

Well, I'm not sure what is meant by "things dont feel right down there", if your pregnant you won't feel anything other than pregnancy symptoms - nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness/soreness, etc...

If she's late, she needs to take a home pregnancy test. If she's been late before, she probably has irregular periods. If the test is negative, talk to her about seeing a doctor and getting on the pill. Condoms are NOT effective against pregnancy. Pills are better - condoms are more of a back up method if on the pill. Also: the pill will help regulate her periods.

Have her buy a pregnancy test and take it, if she continues to not get her period in a week or 2 have her go to planned parenthood and take a test there. If she is not pregnant then while she's there she can get birth control pills. Even if she is on the pill though doesn't mean you should stop using condoms.

If she is pregnant or even if she is not you should both discuss what you would do if she did get pregnant. If you can't have that conversation and decide what you would both do then you probably shouldn't be having sex yet.

The best thing to do is to have a pregnancy test. The sooner the better. Also for some women just having sex and thinking they are pregnant can then make the body act as if they really are pregnant so take the test and if its negative then more that likely your just late and see a doctor to find out why. And if you are pregnant see a doctor right away. Good luck .

Dont worry periods arn't clock worked. They can often be late. Stressing over it doesn't help either. Its only been four days. If your really worried get a home pregnancy test. "things done feel right down there" wouldn't be a sign of pregnancy. She is prob just PMSing. If that feeling continues than she should have it medically checked.

As a "Teen mother" myself, My first advise for you is that you be supportive in her feelings and such.
Second of all if she feels like things are wrong offer a test, don't force it just offer it and never make her feel bad for worrying.
Next if she isn't pregnant you need to use another form of birth control, this is not 100%. If you are not yet ready there are many places that offer birth control for teens... you just have to look for it.
Lastly if she is pregnant let her know you are scared, she is just as scared as you are, comfort her, believe me she needs it, and yes it is possible to make a life with her and your possible new child:D Good luck i hope i can be helpful.

Try not to panic. You can get a pregnancy test at the drug store and find out. If she is pregnant, again, don't panic. Confide in someone you both trust to give you good advice and talk about it.

Your girlfriend needs to take a pregnancy test. Buy a home kit, or, better yet go to a clinic, but you both need to know one way or the other. Good Luck!

same thing happened to me.. i started having sex with my boyfriend and we always use condoms... its soo much the stress in my mind i wont let him nut inside me.. so he pulls out.. but that is beyond the point cause even then i thought i was pregnant... i was scared... very scared that i was pregnant... but thing is that stress messes up your period... and when you become sexually active, it tends to get a little bit... different.. understand what i am saying? the stress messes up your cycle... see us, as woman, always worry about something going wrong because i mean who wants to get pregnant at a young age? so... its so much in her head that shes pregnant and that she feels different that she "feels" it... when its really nothing.. but her mind makes her think that she is... because of the stress.. i was in those shoes and god.. i sure dont want anyone to go through that... she wont be calm until she gets a test done.. soo get a test done about 3 weeks after you guys had sex... so she can easy her mind and see that she is not pregnant because untilt hen, she will not be calm... take care and be very patient with her because stress gets you in the worse mood...

if either of you have any doubts at all, she should go to the clinic, and get a pregnancy test. Its better to set your mind at ease rightaway. If she is pregnant, she can find out all the options from the staff there. hope things turn out the way you want them to. good luck
