I am 14 years old and I have done it with my boyfriend a few times with protection. But recently we didnt use protection and I am not sure if he 'cummed' or not. I am getting paranoid that a bump is showing up on my belly. I am not looking for any bad comments here Please. I really need help! How long does it take to show that you are pregnant?

Thanks to you people that post back x

If you are concerned, you should get a pregnancy test. You don't have to be 18 to buy them. I hope you're not pregnant, but if you are, try not to panic, and tell someone you trust so you're not going through this alone.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

If your not pregnant get on birth control since you are going to have sex which you shouldn't be doing at your age but if your pregnant hope your life turns out well.

14, why are you having sex? have you missed your period or anything. you really cannot do anything unless you have missed it or you are late. if you become late i would take a pregnancy test. i think the earliest a pregnancy test will tell you if you are pregnant or not is 5 days before your missed period. if you are not ready to have a baby or an STD you should not be having sex. there is not much else you can do.

you are just being paranoid about the bump. i didn't get a bump until i was 6 months with our first. it was 6 months for the second and 5 months for our third. just you thinking that you have a bump and that you are so nervous should tell you that you are not ready for sex. not trying to lecture you, but 14 is just too young.

You probably won't show until the 5th or 6th month of pregnancy since you are so young. You should go to Family Planning and take a pregnancy test, or you can just buy one at the store. If you are not pregnant, you should get on birth control. Having a baby is a huge responsibility even under the best of circumstances.

It is VERY unlikely that the first sign of pregnancy will be a "bump". You will probably miss 2 or more periods before you start to show. Listen to what most people are telling you; if you are unsure, you should take a pregnancy test. You can buy a home kit, or go to a clinic.

I know you know this, but, if you continue to have unprotected sex, you WILL get pregnant. Maybe sooner, maybe later, but it will happen.

I would like to suggest that you take a pregnancy test. You don't have to be any certain age to take a home test. The next thing I would have to ask you is "what is the reason you feel like having sex"...I was your age when I started having sex also....I know now, at thirty years old, that the issue is deeper than just doing it for him. You may feel that that is the reason why you are doing it, but really, there is another feeling that you want...Maybe it is his attetion, or love and affection....Whatever the case may be, I would really consider what is ahead in my life.... I would begin to think of whether or not I want to continue risking the chance of changing my life forever to take care of a newborn baby that will need the love and attention of a mom and dad for the rest of its' life....

Not to say that if you are pregnant that it is the end of the world, because you won't be the first or last "teen mom"....but, it is worth weighing your options.....

Is this boy really worth it....

Now, having sex as a married woman,,,,I realize that "kid sex" was terrible....you will never enjoy it, because you will always be worried about what bad things could happen....

If you want to contact me or need to talk feel free to email me at bmsp03@yahoo.com.......my name is Brandi, and I felt compelled to answer your question when I saw it while perusing through questions with my buddy!

I take it you don't want to "confess" to your parent(s) yet.
So, take a home pregnancy test first. Preferably, buy one that has 2 tests in it. If they come out "negative", then wait a month to see if your period comes. If your period is late take another test. If your NOT pregnant, you should have your period back before the second test.

If you take the tests and they come out positive, you'll have to talk to your parent(s). Don't freak out and do anything stupid.

Most of all, learn from this mistake. You're 14 years old. Too young to be having sex with a boy that, most assuredly, is not going to be with you forever.

I'm not male bashing, but boys that age will do and say anything to have sex.

Good Luck!

What's done is done. Now you have to do what's best for you and your possible baby. Everyone "shows" at different times. Have you missed a period? You must go see a doctor, even if you have to sneak around your parents to do it. I'm not in favor of doing this, but if it means you won't go unless you do, then get there any way you can. I would hope your parents will put aside what's happened so they can be sure you get cared for. Let us know how it turns out!

when you miss your first period you will know. but you do not need to wait that long. you can go to a planned parenthood clinic and ask for a blood test that will tell you sooner than any other test. getting pregnant is the best of the consequences in having unprotected sex at least you don't loose your life but did you not consider the std's you can get that are life threatening?? it is a suicide attempt when you risk your life like that. sex is not worth dying for is it? girlie it is not to late to start saying no again. see a dr. if you miss a period. and think twice for next time and count your blessings if you did not get pregnant. please talk to your mom or trusted adult
