I am 14 year old and have been playing for two years, I have gone from horrible to one of the top of my middle school.
Probably 40th of 3000 in my school (bball is main sport)
I am still working on my shots but have great post moves and can drive like a beast (but still perfecting the finish up of my shot)
I train with college coaches and am getting better fast.

I am 14,5ft7in
great at driving and rebounding
above average at defense and belowaverage at /j's (but i am working on them)

probably college ball. i'd say if you want to try for the NBA, set a goal. become the best at your school.

Somewhat too early to say. Just remember that even bench players in the NBA were All-American Top 25 in the NATION.

Will Conroy(Who? Exactly) is the University of Washington's All-Time assist leader, 6th all time in 3pter, and 21st all time in scoring. He went undrafted and just recently was given a 10 day contract by the Memphis Griz, the WORST team in the NBA. The point is you may be the best in your school, but everyone in the world is shooting for the NBA.

Odds are you won't make it to the NBA. But with hard work, good judgement, skills, and alot of luck nothing says you can't play in the NBA either. Just look at Earl Boykins.

Just remember, you have to work harder than everyone else. Basketball is LIFE for the guys who do make it. I'm talking about training at 5am and stopping at 10pm AND still taking care of business(school, family, accounting).

If you want to find out how good you really are, go to the park and play the high school kids.

ALSO: While you probably won't get into the NBA, you do have a shot at a college scholarship which could lead to a very good career. Height is overhyped. Most people don't know this but STEVE NASH is only 5'11 and change. Beleive me, I got to stand next to him at the LA All-Star game. Skills pay the bills in all walks of life.

Well it sounds like you're playing a forward position because if you have bad handling, then you shouldn't be guard. Plus, you're not tall enough to be center. Anyway, rebounding and driving are basically the two main things coaches look for in a forward. But, if you keep working on that shot, you'll probably become one of the best ballers out there. I think you have a really good chance of playing college. But, when it comes to the NBA, you really have to work on your ball handling and you must grow at least an extra 6 inches to, if lucky, play guard. That's where them ball handles come in. Shooting, passing, and ball handling are the three things coaches look for in a guard so, eh, good luck.

Im not gonna be like every1 else n say ur gonna go automatically but i will say this work at improving ur jumpers, if u can hit the NBA 3 pointer consistently by 18 or 19 thats good, i suggest u play point gaurd cause ur not gonna get alot taller (no offense), make sure u hve court vision n ull definitely play college ball, now when u talk bout the NBA u hve 2 make sure that ur court vision is where it should be and ur js can be hit consistently, at the free throw line u wanna atleast average 80% and if ur as good as u say u r on defense then that shouldnt be a problem if u get better at that each year, hope this helps good luck!!!!!!!

Probably not.

If you are only 40th best in your own school, you definitely should not be planning on NBA basketball. NBA players, unless they are freakishly tall, are typically the best player at every level of the sport and often better than players older and younger than them.

Concentrate on studies as well as basketball to go to college. With the NBA being a worldwide sport now, the competition for pro spots is even stronger.

that can be said about college players also. i dont think they should force international players to play 1 year of college. theyre already professionals, and most would say the international competition is tougher than college competition.
